Study finds reduction in active phase by Acupuncture

Posted in : General Information

(added few years ago!)

New stats show that acupuncture effectively reduces active phase of labour in woman while delivering baby. Moreover, the women did not deliver the baby any sooner.

Whereas Acupuncture is basically an art of healing developed empirically by the Chinese over centuries of experience and practice, modern science corroborates the results obtained by Acupuncture and can clinically measure pathological changes induced in the body after acupuncture treatment. In a study of 100 pregnant women, 48 of them were given acupuncture treatment. Those who receive acupuncture had an average active phase of 4.4 hours as compared with 6.1 hours in the standard-care group.
