New research says that eating low fat diet can reduce the risk of getting breast cancer by 20%. Researchers studied 2,400 post-menopausal women who had been successfully treated for breast cancer. One group of woman was asked to ingest less than 33 grams of fat per day. The controlled group took standard diet of approx. 51 grams of fat per day. After 5 years, The relapse rate among those who took low-fat diet was 9.8 percent, as compared to 12.4 percent for the control group.
