A Spanish woman, who fell unconscious after being offered a drink by a man, suspects that she was raped in Pushkar town of Ajmer district following which an FIR has been registered, police said today.

The 32-year-old woman has alleged that Bhanwar Lal (52) during a session of reiki last evening offered her a drink. After consuming the drink, she fell unconscious and does not remember what happened after that, they said. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

On her request, a medical test has been conducted and the report is awaited, they said, adding that the FIR has been lodged under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 376 (Punishment for rape) and 511 (Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) of the IPC and investigation is on. The woman is staying in Pushkar since April 15, they added.
